LTS-2026 Release Schedule Update
Revised timeline
The LTS-26 release, originally planned for mid-May 2026, will now ship in Jul 22, 2026. All other release commitments, including rolling release cadence and LTS-24 support terms, remain unchanged.
What prompted the change
LTS-26 includes three significant additions to the platform that were not in the original scope:
- Envoy gateway migration. We are replacing the nginx-based entry gateway, which has reached end of life, with Envoy. This modernises the networking layer, improves observability, and aligns on-premises deployments with our SaaS architecture. The migration requires thorough validation across supported orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness. In line with emerging regulatory guidance and NIST standards, LTS-26 introduces initial post-quantum cryptographic algorithm support. Given the compliance implications for our customers in financial services and government, we are applying additional verification to this capability.
- Kubernetes governance improvements. Based on direct feedback from deployment partners, we have added enhanced governance controls for Kubernetes-based installations. These improvements address operational requirements for multi-tenant and regulated environments.
Why we chose to extend the schedule
Each of these additions strengthens the long-term value and security posture of the platform. Rather than compress the testing cycle to meet the original date, we chose to allow sufficient time for:
- Full release qualification testing
- LTS-24 to LTS-26 migration validation
We believe this is the right decision. A thoroughly validated LTS release reduces operational risk for your environments and avoids the support burden that accompanies a rushed delivery.
What this means for you
- No action is required at this time. Your current LTS-24 deployment remains fully supported.
- LTS support contract durations will be adjusted proportionally to reflect the revised release date. You will not lose coverage as a result of this change.
- Migration planning can continue on the basis of the revised date. We will publish updated migration guides and release notes in advance of the release.
