Breaking changes and required actions​

The following components have breaking changes compared to the previous release, or require specific actions. For more information, see the release notes of each listed component.

  • nevisAdmin 4
    • Changes to the Kubernetes deployment.
  • nevisMeta
    • It is no longer possible to create scopes in a resource server whose name already exists in the same setup. This restriction is enforced during the creation and import of a scope (either via the REST API or the GUI).
  • nevisProxy
    • nevisProxy now supports SSL identification with HTTP/2. Because of this, nevisProxy may behave slightly differently in case of TLS identification. We recommend testing your new setup, to make sure that it works as expected.
    • nevisProxy now automatically invalidates a session if nevisAuth returns an error. This new behavior can break backward-compatibility. If you run into problems because of this, proceed as described in the release notes. Also contact Nevis Support so that we can analyze the problem.
    • The JsonFilter and SoapFilter no longer accept the values "true" and "false" for certain parameters. For more details, see the release notes.
  • nevisIDM
    • The GUI has been updated with the new Nevis design. If you use custom facing on the GUI, then this change might break existing CSS styling.
  • nevisAppliance
    • The J2EE containers adnjboss and adnwildfly have been removed (EOL).

You can directly update to this major version from version 2.202102.* and from version 2.202011.*. If you skipped a version, have a look at the section "Breaking Changes / Required Actions" of the skipped version.
