Kubernetes Installation

Before you can configure and use the Nevis Identity Suite, it has to be installed first, either in a Cloud environment such as Azure or on an on-premises Kubernetes cluster.

Since May 2026, Kubernetes is the only supported deployment platform for new installations. If you don't have a cluster yet, start with Creating Kubernetes Cluster on Azure, then follow Installation to deploy nevisAdmin 4 and the other Nevis components.

If you want a quick, low-control test setup on Azure instead, see Azure deployment automation. It is not recommended beyond test setups, as it makes several assumptions and is brittle.

LTS on classic, VM-based deployment

If you are on an LTS branch and need classic, VM-based deployment (nevisAppliance or RPM) instead, see Classic Deployment (LTS only).
