Logout Wrap-up AuthStates

These authstates are automatic steps after the logout flow, their configuration in nevisAdmin4 is limited.

RememberMeTokenDeletionAuthState

During a manual (navigated) logout flow, the active token has to be removed.

When this feature is enabled and the logout button is pressed, the rememberme token associated with that device has to be removed. This AuthState deletes the token from nevisAdapt's database.

Next time they try to log in from the same device, their front-end token will not be recognised and a new one will be generated if the username/password authentication is successful.

Between the two events, no-one can use that device to log in without providing authentication credentials.

Possible results:

  • OK
  • Error

Regardless of the end result, the next step will be NevisAdaptSessionTerminationAuthState.

This authstate can not be directly configured in nevisAdmin4.

NevisAdaptSessionTerminationAuthState

During a manual (navigated) logout flow the active session has to be finalized in nevisAdapt DB.

Next state is configurable (via ‘nevisAdapt Authentication Connector / On Logout Done’), if nothing is set, the logout flow finishes with AUTH_DONE.
