Breaking changes and required actions
The following components have breaking changes compared to the previous release, or require specific actions. For more information, see the release notes of each listed component.
- nevisAppliance: Removal of Oracle products such as their JDBC driver. This primarily affects nevisIDM installations that use Oracle.
- nevisAuth: From this release onward, only standalone deployment is supported.
- nevisAdmin 4: Changes to the Kubernetes deployment.
- nevisAdmin 3: RPM users should install (instead of upgrade) the new RPM to avoid missing symlinks.
- nevisLogRend: From this release onward, only standalone deployment is supported.
- nevisMeta:
- Support for adnglassfish and Couchbase removed.
- Change in the behavior of the REST API.
- nevisProxy:
- Per-instance QoS settings are deprecated, this affects the configuration of QoS (Quality of Service) for some customers.
- Sessions may expire 1 minute earlier than before (by default).
You can directly update to this major version from version 2.202008.* and from version 2.202005.*. If you skipped a version, also have a look at the section "Breaking Changes / Required Actions" of the skipped version.
