Walkthroughs

This walkthrough helps you get familiar with the nevisAdmin 4 GUI. Each chapter builds on the previous one, teaching you the many configuration options of Nevis by walking through a first setup of the Nevis Identity Suite, resulting in a base setup that can be built on to create your specific use case.

Before starting, make sure you have a running nevisAdmin 4 instance, see Installation.

The walkthrough consists of the following chapters, to be completed in order:

  • Web Access Management (WAM) sets up nevisProxy to protect a first web application and adds local authentication via nevisIDM.
  • SAML Federation extends the setup with Nevis acting as both a SAML identity provider and service provider.
  • OAuth 2.0 prepares Postman to exercise the OAuth 2.0 flows configured in the previous chapters.
