Installation

Introduction​

This chapter describes the steps that have to be executed when installing nevisDataPorter. The package is operating system-specifically and uses the packaging mechanism of the target OS. It may also be provided in various flavors (that is, with customer-specific modifications).

Software Installation​

Proceed as follows to install nevisDataPorter:

  1. Install the package (Linux) and start the server:
rpm -i nevisdp

If no configuration package is provided for nevisDataPorter, proceed as described in Integration.

Upgrade​

Proceed as follows to upgrade nevisDataPorter:

  1. Install the package (Linux) and start the server:
rpm -e nevisdp
rpm -i nevisdp
nevisdp start

Uninstall​

Proceed as follows to uninstall nevisDataPorter:

  1. Uninstall the package (Linux) and stop the server:
rpm -e nevisdp
