Integration with Swiss e-ID
About the provider
The digital identity (e-ID) allows Swiss citizens and people with a Swiss residence permit to prove their identity online. Currently, this initiative is in public beta mode and the federal government will start issuing the e-ID in the swiyu wallet app in the third quarter of 2026 at the earliest.

Required changes to make it work in your environment
Swiss e-ID side
- You’ll need the swiyu wallet app on your phone to be able to hold your Swiss-eId credentials, and scan verification QR codes.
- Android: swiyu application
- iOS: swiyu application
- Request a Beta-ID identity for yourself, or just use one of the two templates (Helvetia or Marco). Click the Request the issuing of a Beta-ID button, and scan the QR code with the Swiyu wallet app.
Nevis side
- No customization is needed, the default settings of the “login-waltID-step” pattern performs the necessary steps in any deployment
- Note, that the verifier service is running in the Nevis environment currently. If you want to host the verifier containers and the database in your environment, please check the relevant documentation here and change the verifier URL path in the “login-swiyu-qr-verification” pattern.
