Integration with walt.id

About the provider​

walt.id is an open source decentralized digital infrastructure and digital identity wallet provider. They offer multi platform SDKs and APIs for different purposes:

  • to issue verifiable digital credentials
  • to verify digital credentials
  • wallet to request, store and present digital credentials

Required changes to make it work in your environment​

walt.id side​

  • register a new wallet account on https://wallet.demo.walt.id/login
  • go to the portal to issue new id : https://portal.demo.walt.id/
  • select eID from the credential types and click StartNevis Identity Platform Example Project walt.id integration
  • click on the modify icon next to the eID and modify the documentId (this will be saved in the nevisIDM component and it should be unique but waltID generates always the same) and click on SaveNevis Identity Platform Example Project walt.id integration
  • click on IssueNevis Identity Platform Example Project walt.id integration
  • click on Open in web walletNevis Identity Platform Example Project walt.id integration
  • click on AcceptNevis Identity Platform Example Project walt.id integration
  • you should see the new eID credential listed in your walletNevis Identity Platform Example Project walt.id integration
  • you’re ready to test your new eID!

Nevis side​

  • no customization is needed, the default settings of the “login-waltID-step” pattern performs the necessary steps in any deploymentNevis Identity Platform Example Project walt.id integration
