Federation

Federation allows applications to trust identities from external identity providers and can act as an identity provider for other applications.

Browser requirement

This section signs you in to the embedded nevisMeta interface through a single sign-on flow that requires third-party cookies and pop-ups. Use a Chromium-based browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) with default settings. In Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, or a private / incognito window the embedded interface will not sign you in. See Browser support for details and the planned improvement.

What you can do​

  • Connect trusted identity providers and relying parties.
  • Configure standard federation protocols such as OpenID Connect and SAML.
  • Exchange identity information through claims and attributes.
