Adaptive and Continuous Authentication - integration with nevisDetect
To integrate nevisAdapt into nevisDetect, add a nevisAdapt Risk Plugin pattern to the list of risk plug-ins in the nevisDetect Core Instancepattern (Risk Plugins field/property).
In the Advanced Settings tab of the nevisAdapt Risk Plugin pattern, you can define which risk scores must be propagated to nevisDetect, so that nevisDetect can take them into consideration during normalization (fields/properties Propagate NevisAdaptDeviceFingerprint Risk Scores, Propagate NevisAdaptDeviceRecognition Risk Scores, and Propagate NevisAdaptGeolocation Risk Scores).
By default all risk scores will be propagated. To keep the configuration valid, at least one risk score must be propagated (that is, one of the risk score fields must remain enabled).
Furthermore, the nevisAdapt Risk Plugin pattern requires a reference to a nevisAdapt Instance pattern. Configure the nevisAdapt Instance pattern as follows:
- Database Connector property/field: Add a nevisAdapt Database Connector pattern that points to a MariaDB or Oracle instance with nevisAdapt schema. For instructions on how to create the schema, see the section "Database schema" in the chapter Database setup in the nevisAdapt reference guide.
- Advanced Settings properties/tab: Set the path to the geolocation/IP reputation database files, in the fields IP to Location database location and IP Reputation database location, respectively.
