Device Support
Android Devices Supporting Face Recognition
The list only includes verified devices. Therefore, the list is not final and will grow with future releases.
Face recognition is always supported in devices with a Class 3 sensor.
Face recognition using the biometric authenticator is supported in devices with a Class 2 sensor if Class 2 sensors are allowed during registration. See allowClass2Sensors.

Android Devices Supporting Iris Recognition
The list only includes verified devices. No manufacturer seem to use Iris sensors in their devices anymore and Samsung abandoned its usage as well thus it is unlikely that more or new devices will be released with iris recognition functionality.
Only Samsung is known to use iris sensors. All iris sensors are classified as Class 3, however they only implemented the necessary APIs to be usable by third party apps in Android 10, which is why some devices which have an Iris sensor but are not updatable to that OS version are not on this list.
