Versioned DB tables
nevisIDM tracks data changes on a record level. This is done by means of database triggers, which write any new version of a record into the corresponding versioned tables. The best known nevisIDM feature relying on the versioned tables is the history viewer, which visualizes all modifications of a record during its lifetime. For each original table (besides static reference tables), there is a corresponding versioned table. The versioned tables have the same name as the original ones but postfixed with "_v".
