Nevis currently supports the above Kubernetes versions, please find the corresponding product version of your k8s provider on their dedicated product page (for example https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/aks/supported-kubernetes-versions?tabs=azure-cli if you are on MS/Azure)
Note that the Linux distribution running inside the Docker container is chosen by Nevis and cannot be changed by customers. Some vendors package Kubernetes into a larger solution, such as OpenShift. Contact your Nevis representative if you run Nevis on such a solution.
Support for a new Kubernetes version is added if the upstream release happened at least two months before the new release. This means at most, support is added 5 months after the upstream release.
We aim to support the latest 5 versions, which on average provides 20 months of support for each added Kubernetes version.
The following table shows the expected upstream release dates and when support will be added, it can change depending on the actual dates of the upstream release.
| Kubernetes version | Upstream Release | Support |
|---|---|---|
| 1.30 | Apr 2024 | Nov 2024 |
| 1.31 | Aug 2024 | Nov 2024 |
| 1.32 | Dec 2024 | Jun 2025 |
| 1.33 | Apr 2025 | Jun 2025 |
