nevisAppliance-Based Installation

For a nevisAppliance-based installation of nevisAdmin 4, perform the following steps:

  1. Download the required images from Nevis Portal:

    • neviscd2_<version>.iso
    • neviscd2_<version>_os_admin4.img
    • neviscd2_<version>_nevis_admin4.img

  2. Boot from the ISO image and do the basic server setup.

    1. See the nevisAppliance Technical Documentation for details.
    2. Copy the *.img files to your server via SSH.
    3. Apply the *.img files as follows:
    update-nevis.sh <path>/neviscd2_<version>_os_admin4.img <path>/neviscd2_<version>_nevis_admin4.img

  3. Reboot the server:

    reboot

  4. Continue with Initial Setup.
