Identities
The Identities section is where you look up the end users of your platform — the people who register and authenticate through your Nevis-powered applications — and act on their accounts.
This section manages end users, not console operators. Who can sign in to the NevisID Console itself is controlled by the access management of Nevis Portal, handled by the Nevis consulting and support team — contact them to grant or revoke console access.
Getting here
Click User management in the left sidebar. It expands into two pages:
| Page | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Users | Finding a user, reviewing their profile, credentials and roles, and blocking or unblocking them |
| Advanced settings | Everything else, in the full nevisIDM Administration interface — creating users, editing attributes, issuing credentials, managing units and policies |
What you can do here
| Action | Where |
|---|---|
| Search users by name, login ID, or email | Users |
| Filter by account status or last login date | Users |
| Open a user's profile, roles, and credentials | User details |
| Block or unblock an account | Users or User details |
| Create, edit, or delete a user | Advanced settings |
| Issue, replace, or revoke credentials | Advanced settings |
The Users page and the user details page are read-only, apart from blocking and unblocking. Any change to a user's data is made in Advanced settings.
Users belong to an environment
Everything in this section is scoped to the environment selected in the environment selector in the header bar. Switching the environment reloads the user list for that environment, and a user you are viewing is closed — you return to the list — because the account belongs to the environment you left.
Always check the environment badge next to User management in the sidebar before you block an account or hand a user ID to someone.
More information
The underlying identity store is nevisIDM. For the full data model — users, profiles, roles, units, credential types, and policies — see the nevisIDM documentation.
