Configuring SAML

SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is a standard federation protocol.

SAML is used for authentication and authorization between parties, involving at least an identity provider and a service provider.

In the following we use these abbreviations:

• IDP: SAML Identity Provider
• SP: SAML Service Provider
