nevisAppliance-Based Installation

For a nevisAppliance-based installation of nevisAdmin 4, perform the following steps:

  1. Get the required images:
    • neviscd2_<version>.iso
    • neviscd2_<version>_os_admin4.img
    • neviscd2_<version>_nevis_admin4.img
  2. The images can be downloaded from:
  • AdNovum Customer Zone: Document Share nevisadmin 4.
  • AdNovum Client Connect
  1. Boot from the ISO image and do the basic server setup.
  2. See the nevisAppliance Technical Documentation for details.
  3. Copy the *.img files to your server via SSH.
  4. Apply the *.img files as follows:
update-nevis.sh <path>/neviscd2_<version>_os_admin4.img <path>/neviscd2_<version>_nevis_admin4.img
  1. Reboot the server:
reboot
  1. Continue with Initial Setup.
