Service health check prerequisites
Performing a health check has the following prerequisites:
- You have mobile devices dedicated for testing purposes and ready to use for health check.
- The latest version of your Access App is installed on your test devices.
- The test devices are prepared for a new registration. For instructions on how to reset the authenticator app, see Reset your mobile authenticator.
- Access to URLs and an Access Key that are unique to your environment.
In the following instructions, we refer to these URLs by name as indicated in the table. The URLs are formed with the name of your environment URL used as <instance>
. For example, in https://sandbox-int-6c.mauth.nevis.cloud/test.html
, the part sandbox-int-6c
is your <instance>
. You need the following URLs to run the health check:
URL Name | URL | Purpose |
---|---|---|
Test and debug application URL | https://<instance>.mauth.nevis.cloud/test.html | Test registration, login and approval functionality. You can access this from your management console. |
Authentication Cloud Console URL | https://portal.nevis.net/authcloud/<instance>/overview | Get the Access key for the test page to work. You can access this from your Nevis Portal. |
You can retrieve the Access Key from the Nevis management console through the following steps:
note
You only need to do the steps once to get your credentials for the testing page.
- Log into the Authentication Cloud management console from the Nevis Portal.
- Click Custom Integrations.
- Click Add custom integration.
- Set the Integration name to Health Check.
- Set the Domain URL to
https://<instance>.mauth.nevis.cloud/test.html
. - Copy the Access Key, and note it down in a safe place, preferably in your support help system.

Set up your user support team
- Make sure only authorized personnel can use this Access Key, as it gives complete access to your Authentication Cloud instance.
- Have these URLs, the Access Key, and the health check steps printed or added to your user support help system, so your engineers have ready access to your specific pages.
- Have two mobile devices dedicated for testing. An iOS and an Android device must be available for customer support engineers, to reproduce customer issues before reporting them.
