View applications

The application list gives you a quick overview, where you can browse basic application attributes such as the Name, Type, and ID of the applications.

Name

Each application needs a unique Name, which can be a maximum of 30 characters long, and can only contain alphanumeric characters and underscores.

We recommend you use a descriptive Name that you can easily remember throughout the configuration.

Type

Identity Cloud supports the following Application types:

• Single-page applications (SPA)
• Regular web applications (WEB)
• Native applications (NAT)
• Server to server (S2S)

ID

ID is the unique identifier of the application, and is based on the following application attributes:

• For Protocol type OAuth 2.0/OIDC, ID is based on the Client ID.
• For Protocol type SAML, ID is based on the Issuer.
