Breaking changes and required actions
The following components have breaking changes compared to the previous release, or require specific actions. For more information, see the Release Notes of each listed component.
- nevisMeta: only accepts JSON format for all the calls to REST endpoints.
- nevisProxy: The OpenTelemetry functionality has been moved into the navajo.xml configuration. For the new configuration options, check the Server-configuration page.
- nevisProxy: The Lua method response::addHeader no longer writes over the first header when called twice.
- nevisProxy: 405 (Method Not Allowed) status code is sent back when a not allowed method is used in the request to the HttpConnectorServlet instead of 500 (Internal Server Error).
- nevisProxy: The BackendConnectorServlet no longer drops the backends' the Set-Cookie headers.
- nevisProxy: The SLES15 based package requires at least SP3 to be installed on the SLES15 host.
Every RR (minor and major) may contain breaking changes. See the release notes of the component you are upgrading. You should always stay up to date on the RR branch. If there are multiple releases between your current version and the version you are upgrading to, consult the release notes of each version.
