Manage organization signup preferences

You can manage the self-service signup preferences for an organization on the Signup tab of an organizations' detailed view.

You can choose between the following signup settings for an Organization:

  • Use the signup settings applied under the Signup / Login > Branding area of the Management console (referred to as default signup settings going forward).
  • Override the default signup settings and add organization specific ones that apply only to the users of the one organization.

Overriding the default signup settings means that you change any of the settings that are applied globally for self-service signup. By choosing this option, you get a different signup process for this user group.

The setting you can override are:

  • Enable / disable self-service signup.
  • How the signup process is handled when self-service singup is enabled.

For example, if in the default signup settings self-service signup is enabled, but you do not want the users of the organization to be able to sign up on their own, you only need to choose the Override signup option here.

Another example is when in the default signup settings self-service signup is enabled with the preference of Identity Cloud handling the process for you, but you want to add your own signup solution for the users of the organization. Choose the Override signup option here, then select and add the URL to your own signup solution.

Override default signup settings​

  1. Go to the Signup tab of the organization's detailed view.
    • Go to Organizations in the Management console and locate the organization you want to edit. Use the search bar if needed.
    • Click the organization to edit it and go to the Signup tab.
  2. Choose the Override signup option.
  3. Optionally apply any of the additional settings for signup you want for the organization.
    • Enable self-service signup.
    • Choose how the signup process is handled:
      • By Identity Cloud.
      • Through a URL to your signup solution.
